Sengel Enterprises LLC (“Wayfare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at flywayfare.com and related services.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly and information generated through your use of our service:

  • Account information: name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Google, Apple, or email.
  • Travel preferences: preferred departure city, travel dates, budget ranges, and activity interests you set in your profile.
  • Trip data: cities you add to trips, itineraries you build, flights and hotels you search for or book, and AI trip planner conversations.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, globe interactions, and session duration, collected automatically via standard web analytics.
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address.

How We Use Your Information

  • Trip planning: to display relevant flights, hotels, and activities based on your selected destinations and dates.
  • Personalization: to remember your preferences, suggest destinations, and improve your experience over time.
  • Booking: to process flight and hotel reservations through our third-party booking partners.
  • AI trip planning: to power our conversational trip planner, which helps you build itineraries through natural language.
  • Communication: to send booking confirmations, trip reminders, and important service updates.
  • Improvement: to analyze usage patterns and improve our platform, features, and user experience.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third-party services as necessary to provide our platform:

  • Google: authentication (Google Sign-In) and places/maps data. Google receives your name and email during sign-in. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Duffel: flight search and booking. Duffel receives passenger details and payment information necessary to issue tickets. Wayfare does not store your credit card information. See Duffel’s Privacy Policy.
  • Anthropic: AI trip planning. Your trip planner conversations are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train models. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase: authentication and database services. Supabase hosts our user data securely. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Session Management

Wayfare uses cookies and local storage for session management, authentication via Supabase, and remembering your preferences (such as departure city and display settings). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings, but disabling cookies may impact functionality.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and trip data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restriction: request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Portability: request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Right to opt out: opt out of the sale of personal information. Wayfare does not sell your personal information.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
